When GunnAllen Financial acquired an equity interest in
Palm Harbor-based, HarborLight Capital Management, LLC,
HarborLight’s President, Dean G. Tanella joined the company
as the Executive Vice President of Capital Markets and as a
member of its Board of Directors.
The newly formed Capital Markets Group is
solely responsible for the new Alternative Products
Platform as well as the traditional capital markets
areas of investment banking, syndicate, and
institutional sales and trading. As the Executive Vice
President of the Capital Markets Group, Tanella will
also continue to be the President, and the Head
Portfolio Manager of HarborLight Capital Management,
LLC, a manager of fund-of-funds products.
In his new position at GunnAllen Financial, Tanella is
responsible for launching new alternative products,
including hedge funds and fund-of-funds product offerings
for all their retail brokers nationwide. As the Executive
Vice President of the Capital Markets Group, Tanella is
responsible for managing the expansion of investment
banking, syndicate business, and the institutional sales
and trading departments.

Being the Executive Vice President of the Capital Markets
Group, Dean G. Tanella is the ideal choice for the
position. Prior to joining GunnAllen Financial, Tanella
served exclusively as the President and Chief Executive
Officer of HarborLight Capital Management, LLC (HCM). Under
Tanella’s leadership, HarborLight Capital Management
functions as an SEC-registered investment adviser that
manages the HarborLight Diversified Fund, LP/Ltd. and the
Safe Harbor Canada, LP.
At GunnAllen Financial, CEO, Richard A. Frueh is glad to
